Hydraulic Jet Pump for Efficient Oil Well Production

A Hydraulic Jet Pump is an advanced artificial lift system used in oil and gas wells to lift fluids using high-pressure power fluid. The Hydraulic Jet Pump operates without moving parts downhole, making it highly reliable and ideal for harsh well conditions. It is especially effective in wells with high gas content, sand, or deviated well structures.

How Hydraulic Jet Pump Works

The Hydraulic Jet Pump works on the Venturi principle, where high-pressure fluid is pumped through a nozzle to create a low-pressure zone. This allows reservoir fluids to mix with the power fluid and be lifted to the surface efficiently.

Low Maintenance Lift

High Volume production

The operation to kick-off a well using a Jet Pump is an extremely effective technique for reviving wells that are either dead or not producing. This approach is especially beneficial in the oil and gas sector, where quick and efficient solutions are often necessary to bring wells back to full productivity.

No Moving Parts

Rig less Intervention

Jet pumps feature a compact and durable design with no moving parts, significantly reducing the risk of equipment failure, even in the most challenging wellbore conditions. The system can be deployed without a rig, as the pump is installed downhole and can be retrieved by circulating power fluid to move it up the wellbore. Once installed, jet pumps operate reliably with minimal operational intervention and require virtually no maintenance.

Jiach Energy Solutions, in collaboration with Global Petroleum Technologies, brings a long-standing legacy of innovation and expertise in jet-pump lifting systems. Through comprehensive well evaluation and the careful selection of completion design and power fluid, our in-house engineering team develops optimized solutions tailored to each well’s requirements.

Today, Jiach Energy Solutions delivers robust and comprehensive jet-lift solutions, including multi-well configurations operating with a single pump, versatile surface equipment, and reliable technical support. Our integrated approach ensures efficient performance, operational flexibility, and enhanced production across a wide range of well conditions.

Working of Jet Pump

In a jet-pump lifting system, the pump is deployed downhole without the need for a rig. At the surface, a power-fluid system utilizes plunger or a multiplex pump to pressurize and inject power fluid into the wellbore. This high-pressure fluid travels downhole to the jet pump nozzle, resulting in Venturi effect, creating a low-pressure zone. This low pressure draws reservoir fluids into the pump throat, where the power fluid and produced fluids mix. The mixed power fluid is lifted to the surface.

A Straddle Jet Pump Solutions

GPT provides two efficient solutions to straddle a jet pump: Rigless Installation and Through-Tubing Deployment. These solutions are designed to improve operational flexibility while minimizing intervention costs and downtime.

The Fixed Reverse Flow Straddle Jet Pump features larger internal flow passages, enabling higher production rates and improved lifting capacity. This design is particularly suitable for wells requiring enhanced flow performance and efficient artificial lift operations.

The Coiled Tubing Jet Pump offers a recoverable jet pump solution with outer diameters of 1¼” or 1½”, allowing the pump to be retrieved without pulling the entire straddle pack-off assembly. This significantly reduces intervention time and operational costs. However, this system operates with direct fluid circulation only.

JIACH ENERGY SOLUTIONS – Artificial Lift SCADA Monitoring System

JIACH Energy Solutions presents its advanced Artificial Lift SCADA Monitoring System, designed to enhance surveillance quality and optimize artificial lift operations across oilfield assets.

This intelligent system is widely deployed in ESP, Plunger Lift, Hydraulic Jet Pump, and SRP wells, utilizing GSM modem-based communication to ensure seamless data transmission from field to control platforms.

The Coiled Tubing Jet Pump also incorporates the High-Volume Concept, where the Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) is designed with larger internal flow passages to maximize inflow capacity and improve overall production performance.

Both jet pump models are manufactured using high-grade alloy corrosion-resistant materials and are coated with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC). This advanced coating provides exceptional corrosion protection, superior erosion resistance with hardness exceeding that of diamond, and reduced internal friction by lowering the Reynolds value. These features ensure maximum durability, efficiency, and reliability, making these jet pump systems best in their class.
